Le Borj Nord
This is the Sultan Ahmed Saâdiens ALMANSOUR who built the Borj Nord north of Fes al Bali. The aim is to monitor and predict invasions intruders in the medina of Fez. The Borj Nord resumed the same appearance found in the Portuguese fortress of the XVI century. Currently, the Borj Nord museum contains weapons. There are many collections of weapons dating from prehistory to the present. The visitor will discover a multitude of weapons stored in chronological order: Carved stone cannon, weapons belonging to other civilizations, axes, halberds, spears, sabers, swords, helmets Iranian stools fitted ornaments, rifles, pistols, revolvers ... The neighborhood of Borj Nors offer a panoramic view over the medina of Fes. A space devoted to prayer has been adjusted to accommodate Muslims who come to pray on the day of Eid.
